In a hadith, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: A scorpion bit the Prophet (peace be upon him) while he was praying. When he finished, he said, “May the curse of Allah be upon the scorpion. It does not leave alone the one who is praying or anyone else.” Then he asked for water and salt. Thereupon, he started to wipe the sting and read Surah Al-Kafirun, Surah Al- Falaq, and Surah An-Nas (Reported by Tabarani, authenticated by Albanee).
